Our community is made up of both VDOT-owned and Association-owned streets. As such, rules for vehicle parking and towing enforcement are applicable from both Prince William County and the Association. It’s the responsibility of every homeowner and resident to understand and adhere to the rules. Read on for more information.

Vehicle and Towing Policy

Both Prince William County and our Association have rules regarding parking. Make sure you’re familiar with the Association’s vehicle and towing policy.

Vehicle Facts at a Glance:

  • Junk cars and inoperative vehicles are an eyesore. They can also be a safety concern for all neighborhoods. They also violate the County’s Zoning Ordinance.
  • Store commercial vehicles, RVs, and boat trailers in a garage out of open view. Such vehicles may only be parked in a private driveway for a period not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours.
  • Report inoperative vehicles parked unsafely on public roads to the Prince William County Police non-emergency number at 703-792-6500 or click here for the PWC Police Department page.

Inoperative (or Derelict) Vehicles (IOV’S)

An Inoperative Vehicle (IOV) is a vehicle without current tags. Vehicles under repair or parted out are also considered an IOV. Parking these vehicles outside of a garage, or in open view on within the community is not permitted.

Report these vehicles if parked on a VDOT-owned street to the Police Department’s non-emergency number 703-792-6500. If it’s parked on Association property, report it to Holly Gibson (at hgibson@sfmcinc.com).
