With predicted snowfall, please park in driveways, garages, and designated parking spaces. This allows plows to clear properly ensuring safe and passable roads for emergency vehicles, school buses, and our residents.

  • Snow plowing and clearing for community-maintained roads and sidewalks will commence after 2-3 inches of accumulation. VDOT plowing commences once there is 3 inches of snow.*
  • VDOT maintains most roads in our community–refer to the snow removal map for VDOT vs. HOA-maintained areas. VDOT advises residents to park on one side of the street if street parking is necessary.
  • Residents are responsible for clearing sidewalks along their lot.
  • Consider environmentally friendly ice melt products–salt products are NOT recommended. Salt products can damage concrete, causing cracking and damage (spalling) to the surface.

*During snowfall, maintaining an open lane for fire/emergency equipment is prioritized. After the snowfall, the contractor will further widen driving lanes, curb-to-curb if nothing is blocking the way. The contractor will seek to limit any damage, but will not assume responsibility for damages to vehicles left unattended in driving lanes and areas.
