As the weather warms up and more families are out enjoying the sunshine, it’s wonderful to see our community’s playgrounds buzzing with activity. These shared spaces are a big part of what makes our neighborhood feel like home—a place where kids can play, friendships can grow, and neighbors can connect.
With that in mind, we’d like to offer a gentle reminder about being respectful and mindful when using our playgrounds. While some wear and tear is expected, we’ve recently experienced repeated damage and maintenance issues that go beyond normal use.
At the pool house playground, the swing mat under the swing has been frequently moved, which has allowed a ditch to form in the mulch below. This poses a safety risk for children using the swing. Please help by keeping the mat in place and refilling the displaced mulch after playtime. It’s a small action that helps prevent injuries and keeps the area safe for everyone.
Across all three parks, we’ve also seen an increase in broken lights, graffiti, litter, and damage to equipment. These issues not only create safety concerns but also impact everyone’s enjoyment of our beautiful shared spaces. If you have children or teens using the parks, please take a moment to talk with them about the importance of treating these spaces with care and respect.
Together, we can preserve the quality of our playgrounds and ensure they remain safe and fun for all ages—especially our youngest neighbors.
