We are prepared for a plow event late this evening into tomorrow. The heaviest snow will be between 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM tapering off by late morning. The current forecast is for 2″ to 4″ with some of the area receiving 5″ or more. The storm will start as rain and switch over to snow quickly. All the equipment and crews are ready to be dispatched this evening. VDOT seems to be ready for this event unlike Monday but is asking everyone to stay off the roads this evening and tomorrow so the crews can clear the roads.
Trash Collection: Individual subscription and Homeowner Associations, unfinished Thursday trash routes will be collected Friday. Friday trash routes, we will start collection Friday and will complete services Saturday, January 8th.
Recycling Collection: Individual and Homeowners Associations, we will attempt to service unfinished Thursday routes and Friday routes on Saturday, January 8th.
If any material(s) are not collected by the close of business on Saturday, January 8th, we ask that you pull your items back to your home until services resume on your next regularly scheduled collection.
